I was impressed with a friend of mine in her outfit. The way she incorporated everything including                                                                             her braids is simply beautiful!
Christine's outfit has an African touch to it and is customized. Its very princess like and I am definitely getting myself one of these pieces. You can too with a Nigerian fabric called ankara.
Totally tickled!!!!!

Painting the night Turquoise

I attended an award meeting on Saturday, 20th July and I had a miserable time deciding what to wear for the evening. Its a great concern for me that women can not find a gorgeous modest dress without struggling, especially if your pockets aren't deep. But you know what they say, this time on a clean condition, " a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do". So I took my casual dress and worked with it. Yes! Its a casual dress. A simple waste belt turns it into something extravagant.
Turquoise is a beautiful color and it played very well on my skin giving me an opportunity to draw my lips red. I used my matching wedges to maintain the attention on the color of the dress. Turquoise is a name of a beautiful gem I must add. I avoided accessories because already the dress has enough details.
A waste belt not only formalizes an outfit but shapes you into it. Whether its a blouse, shirt or even a summer dress, waste belts are magical! Was comfortable and feeling stunning the whole night____ So ladies! Invest on that waste belt. Until then.... Be Simply Outstanding!

Sunday winter dress ups!

I always find Sundays as an excuse to dress up! So today I found another excuse to incoporate my "french hat", I'd like to call it, in my cold coloured outfit. I needed a serious solution for my unpredicted bad hair turn out and my hat did just the job. French hats can save the day anytime and always know how to improvise for even accessories. Berets are one of them. Another thing I feel we ladies hardly explore are cold colors. They enhance an outfit if they are properly merged and since its winter, it always feels safe and right to wear them.

I find high waist skirts highly reliable. They absolutely simplyfy a formal look for any occassion. Work, church or any formal demanding look, so I take advantage of them a lot. When I can, I dazzle an outfit with this top. It never fails to give me an elegant look. So what people dont know is that its turned around because I prefer the back than the front. I love neck high plain skin tops and this top is neck high but has buttons flowing down from the neck to the chest, hence I turn it around for its plainness and keep my coat or cardigan on ;)
I really never thought that grey and purple would cooperate so beautifully . Try it some time while you still have July. Until then.. Be Simply Outstanding!!

My very first post..

Hello...  I am Tolamo but friends and acquintances call me Thuli, so it would be just fine if you chose to :) I am a student still, doing my BTECH in Buiness Administration. Im very spontaneous and adventurous and there's nothing I enjoy more than a laugh with family and friends. Enough about me and more about this baby. Be Simply Outstanding is a modest style blog I thought of after my wardrobe change from extreme fashion and basically created to learn more about achieving the simple look as I share my fashion police moments and pretty much exploring easy ways to access resources that will make it possible. Not forgetting my interaction with you<3 So feel free to make your witty, sarcastic comments. Until then... Be simply outstanding XO
